The most core: Wii

Sony are far better and more experienced than MS at attracting a wider, more casual market. Blu Ray support for the PS3 and the multimedia capabilities of the PSP do not appeal specifically to core gamers. The use of features not directly related to gaming has always been one of Sony's key strategies to conquering this wider market.

Established franchises such as Singstar, Buzz, Ratchet & Clank, Jak, Eyetoy and even Gran Turismo alongside new IPs like Little Big Planet and Home exemplify Sony's capacity to appeal to the casual market. The PS3 lies somewhere between the hardcore 360 and the casual Wii.

It's a good thing you limited this to PS3/360, though. Otherwise N-GAGE would sweep this thread. Everything from Finland is hardcore!

You don't think Sony is going to show the same type of games today?  Both companies are trapped going around the same circle, each following the other.  I think we'll see much of the same as what we saw yesterday with a few shots of GoWIII and GT5.

Wii. I said this before, just like the color pink. If you see a very heterosexual male, in pink, he will probably be one of the most hardcore and bad ass guys you will lay your eyes on.

The gamers that play the Wii are the same way, they are so hardcore about gaming that all that matters is the games. They care more about content than graphics, sound, and whatever format or disc the game will be played on. They dont limit themselves, and therefore, they can play anything.

I wouldnt be surprised if the most experienced gamers, are on the Wii. And as well, I wouldnt be surprised if more people who had multiple consoles, had a Wii as one of their choices.

The real hardcore gamers are the ones who are playing games now rather than arguing on a forum about which system is more hardcore. So the system with the greatest amount of those people, is, i would say, the most hardcore.
