So.... FFXIII 360 started AFTER PS3 version. But it's perfectly okay to make 360 version as "it has considerable share in English speaking country"???


While, Star Ocean 4 started on 360 first, but won't start on PS3 because somehow PS3 doesn't have big enough HD market share even in Japan? (I'm looking at 600K vs 2 million)



I'm missing something here, am I? Sony, if I were you, time to dig deeper.

Sony does not have to dig, they own part of S.E. I am sure there members of the S.E. board already know why.

I would've loved to know why. I think as one of the first owner to own a PS3, I deserve to know where this console is headed.

This gen is not single game or even heavily library driven.

PS3 has a lot of great features included.
360 is cheaper, with out all the bells and whistles. Most of the other features are available for a price.
Wii is different.

Sony is going long term with PS3.

Don't be so quick to turn on your master.



I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I expect it will be on PS3... eventually. I think it was part of the adjustment of their relationship with Microsoft. Allowing a bought exclusive or two to go multi-plat.

Probably announce it around the same time they announce FFV13 for 360.

Just speculation though.

The only SO game we have NA data for (Till the end of time) shows the sales better in NA than Japan.

And the difference in Japan HD userbase is a little over 1.6 million whereas the difference in the west is over 7 milllion. So there's definitely a discrepancy that almost forced them to go 360 in the west.

Also that's apparently the only Star Ocean that sold really awesome... I mean... they announced the series sold over 2.5 million shipped with 1.5 million being from the last one if i remember the MS press confrence right.

It's headed the same direction it was always headed. After MS's announcement, the same PS3 games you want to play are on the PS3.

I fail to see how broadening the market of who gets to enjoy that game effects you, or the PS3 (other then some PS3 sales).

 

Hell, with where the cost of the PS3 sits with Sony, they might have realized they will make more money from S.E. if they sell it on my 360.
