It is pretty great if you ask me. I like the interface, and it is the most efficient browser on the market last I saw. There is the added benefit of security through obscurity meaning it has fewer vulnerabilities that are being exploited. It has other talking point features like being the best fit for the Acid3 test (save safari) and voice commands (hello hands free porn surfing!) but those don't really mean anything at the end of the day. I think the best endorsement you can give a web browser is there is nothing wrong with it.

Opera is the same web browser as the Nintendo Wii. It is a very old Web Browser and only 1.7% of the people with internet use it.

IE7 27%
IE6 26.5%
IE5 .5%
Firefox 41%
Mozilla .5%
Safari 2.6%
Opera 1.7%

What the fuck! its not "a very old web broswer'

OP:

I use it. its fucking awesome. competes with FF3 but FF2 was better. FF3 was total shit so I had to switch.
Uhm im not sure any advice to give you. Install the spell check files and use the Speed Dial feature its really reallyy helpful.

^^ Where do I get the spell check files, and how do I use it?

EDIT:  Also, is there any way to change the options so that when you SHIFT+CLICK to open a page in a new tab, it doesn't automatically switch to the new tab?

I'll try to track down how to change it for you, but until then you can use ctrl+shift click to open in background, or just the middle click.

I have been a Opera user since 1999 and loving it.

Firefox owns all other browsers and then sends the firefox fox to defecate on them

Sadly I don't think there is a way to edit that. The people at the Opera forum might be able to help more (never been there) but I can't find it on the website nor as an option in the browser. Sorry I can't be of more help.
