Forums - PC - First Glimpse of Half Life 2: Episode 3

My most anticipated game. I hope it'll be longer than the other two episodes, though.

@Squilliam

Valve have basically said they won't make the game for the PS3 but are perfectly happy for any other developer to do it for them - EA has decided to port all their games it seems.

Episode 2 finale was so EPIC!!! All those striders, my heart rate went up real quickly cuz it was so awesome :D.
Man i hope it comes on the ps3 :(

=p  I hated that fight it was quite annoying (I never had enough rockets and shooting those balls on those striders was a pain when those guards where walking around it).

@Barozi: Great to hear =D.

God after episode 2 I really want episode 3 and soon Half-Life 3 :D

Half-Life 2: Episodes 1,2, and 3 are Half-Life 3...

The problem with HL1 and 2 is that their narratives were very weak. I hope in HL3 they beef the storytelling aspect up to at least Deus Ex levels or I won't be interested.

 EA likes money. :)

I knew all that BTW.

Tease.

Can't wait, Episode 1 was a tad on the slow side but still well made and entertaining in its right but; Episode 2 was by far the best piece of FPS action I have ever played in my life and was near perfect in my eyes. I can't possibly imagine Valve being able to outdo themselves (yet, but wait for HL 3... ) but if Episode 3 is even half as good as the last one, I'll have no ilks about it even in the slightest!

You're probably right.  I just threw that out there because of the whole "Aperture Science" tie-in with the Borealis...maybe it's Portal technology which means a portal to the enemy's world...but that is a bit out of the current scope hehe.

It doesn´t sound that crazy, Aperture Science was about portals, the borealis dissapear on a really bad accident and Eli Vance really wanted to destroy it (So maybe the borealis is/was some kind of ship like the Philadelphia project...) featuring some kind of portal system, that could end up opening a new portal to other world... (Thats why Eli Vance wanted to destroy it to avoid another 7 Hours war)
