Forums - Nintendo - Free Radical? Battlefront III? Wii?!

Well, according to sources who have contacted IGN Wii, Free Radical is working on Star Wars Battlefront III...

... and even more surprising, it's coming to the Wii (along with other major consoles).

Wow, I really don't know what to say... this is incredible (if it's true mind you) Still... just... wow. Now if you excuse me, I'll be erm... yeah...

We already knew it was coming to Wii, but FR could make it awesome!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Well that's one of my girlfriends favorite franchises. Good to hear.

This could be an awesome game online and i dunno if the wii can deliver. But good goin for nintendo.

When developers make a game, the Wii isn't the one who has to deliver, the developers do.

Also, this goes to show how ignorant gamers are who say that sales don't matter.

The Gamecube wouldn't have got this game, despite the fact that it woulda been a straight, costless port, but the Wii gets its own development team, probably.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Indeed, as Wii sales continue to skyrocket, it's only a matter of time until developers and publishers give into this growing market. We're already seeing it on the Japanese front with Tales, among other JRPG's. And now it seems like Nintendo owners will finally get to experience the greatness that is the Battlefront series.

The Force Unleashed, Clone Wars, and now Battlefront? Sign me up please.

i thought free radical were working on timesplitters 4

Yeah, Wii can't deliver.  Cuz PS2 and Xbox didn't have awesome Battlefront games... -_-

Well said!

And I'm not too surprised: Lucasarts is about the bottom line, and they know the winds are shifting towards the Wii. Mind you, I kind of wish they worshipped the dollar a little less, so we can hav adventure games from them again, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.
