Well, at least the sky and explosions aren't gray.

On one of the pictures there is a text box that reads:

Since all the screens here hail from one level, don't expect the netire game to look so...bleak. Some levels will highlight the "natural beauty" of helghan.

The originaly Killzone was much the same in it's variety of environments. The game started off in trenches on the outskirts of a city at dusk. The level had a somewhat dark and brown hue. Later on in the same drab city, you happen upon a beautiful park area that had yet to be destroyed by the surrouding battles. Later on in the game, you visit a green-ish swamp, a snowy mountain, and a metallic orbital station.

That sounds like Gears with the "Destroyed Beauty" theme.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Gears in not original! All Gears is is WarHammer in a first person shooter. This game though, has it's own look, but feels like COD4 mechanics. Will be a killer and a MUST have for !st person shooter fans.

WarmachineX@ You sound like a nOOb, have u been locked away?

Like others have said, check out game play vids and trailers. If this game is shit to u, then COD4 must be crap too???

Sony owens the studio and this game has 4 years of development love! Here is a prediction; this game is being released when a lot of big shooters have come and gone. It's going to sell BIG, as many people will be lookin' for something new.

My anticipation for this game is above that of Gears and even R2, can't wait!

Playing and finishing games first>>>>>>>>>>Then talking!

Well, they say Killzone basically started the "dark and gritty" trend.   If nothing else, Killzone was praised for it's artstyle and atmosphere, and it wasn't until after all the Killzone hype that games like Gears, etc. started popping up.  Prior to Killzone we had shooters like Halo, Timesplitters, and Goldeney, and Perfect Dark.

The screens look nice but they always look so much worse then the videos we see. I'm surprised people think they are touched up.
