Forums - Sales - With a $50 price cut next week, do you expect 360 sales to increase a lot?

Based on VGC data, 360 sales in North America have been around 55K/60K a week, for the last several weeks....now that it seems clear the 360 will see a $50 price drop next week, how much of a jump will the 360 get in the U.S.?

Do you expect the 360 to increase to 70K/80K a week in North America?

Yeah, but Microsoft is gonna need alot to back it up though in terms of games. And if there are no games then the increase won't be as good as it could be.

I think it'll be around 75-85k, with a theoretical 5k drop on average for the PS3 (since 'some' people who are deciding between the two will be swayed by a $299 360)

 It is a rumor with several photos of various retailers having advertisement for the price-drop. There is a mountain of evidence that various stores believe the price-drop will happen. so I figure it is a good thing to discuss.

but remember, the first shipment of MGS4 bundle is also coming out the same week.

It would only be a minor bump. And wouldn't last more than a few weeks.

People aren't waiting on the fence to buy a 360 because of the price. Not at $50 difference anyway.

Ah yes.  Cling to the hope the PS3's poor showing is because 80GB consoles are selling out.  Even though they are not in some states..........
