Isn't nr 5 upp North in the mountain area where you have to go something like up left down left up up up or something.

Wow I weally need to play this game again, think it's been 18 years since last time

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

ha yeah i was like that, thats why i never finished the ocarina of time, but am willing to now:P

The hardest part had to be fighting the Darknuts. Unpredictable movement and good defense make them the hardest enemies in the game.

This is the game that got me into gaming. Amazing.

It's really about exploration. It's been a while since I played it, but I remember that to find the Silver sword you have to walk up the stairs a certain time and then go right or so.

I think I burned down every single bush in the game, lol.

Not really, fighting the Darknuts in Zelda II was hard, especially the blue ones.

The original Legend of Zelda was the first game I ever finished. I still have my ye olde gold cartridge. The battery inside was fried (thanks Game Genie), but I was finally able to play it again when I got the Zelda Collector's Edition. And it did bring back a whole mess of wonderful memories. That overworld tune just stays with you forever.

It was much easier than when I was a kid, probably because I've gotten used to far more complex games now--or because I'd spent so much time in my youth memorizing the crap out of that game. I still had my own hand-drawn map of the 9th Labrynth. When I was a kid, that labrynth just seemed to go on forever. It was actually pretty short, overall, now. Also, my old hand-drawn map--despite the painstaking measures I took making straight lines and to-scale obstacles, I still managed to have two warps therein written incorrectly.

As a side note, I try not to play games in front of my 4-year old. It's not fair for him to just have to watch me have fun when he can't have fun, too.

Great game. I had the same feeling that you had when I went back and played MegaMan 2 in college after not having played in since I was 7 or 8, and it was no where near as difficult (though still quite challenging at parts) as I remember.

However, I do have to say I think modern video games are spoiling the youth of America at least with their difficulty, or lack there of. I doubt there are very many 7-12 year olds today who could even make it through QuickMan's level, let alone beat him...

I am a Gauntlet Adventurer.

I strive to improve my living conditions by hoarding gold, food, and sometimes keys and potions. I love adventure, fighting, and particularly winning - especially when there's a prize at stake. I occasionally get lost inside buildings and can't find the exit. I need food badly. What Video Game Character Are You?

TimeStopper...

But seriously, Mega Man 2 is hard.

I agree that modern games are much easier than the NES ones. Some games overdo it though. Ghouls n'Ghosts, Battletoads for example.
