It should happen more often. So many games lately get ratings that they don't deserve so the publications can suck off the publishers.

It didn't happen enough with GTA IV.

But I think a lot of the reason for that is that GTA IV is multiplatform. Some sites prefer one platform over another, that's just the way it is. They will score exclusives for other platforms lower. Its such a sad state of affairs.

The team at Kojima Productions has at the very least set a new high-water mark for cinematic presentation that I wager any other videogame will be lucky to reach, let alone exceed, for the next few years.
Seriously, how can you give something an 8 after saying that.

So a crappy game with the best cinematics ever should get perfect tens?

^ 'At the very least', implies that just prior to this statement the reviewer was highlighting some negative aspects of the game.

No halo 3 shouldnt get perfect 10's, it wouldnt be right.

The game is great and so are the cutscenes.  I wouldn't give it a perfect 10 but it is still awesome

true but that doesn't mean it deserves a 10.  The game is more like a 9.5 to me
