Yes MGS4 did just come out.  And SMG/SSBB/Zelda:TP/MP3/MK:Wii/NMH/etc.... have also come out for the Wii in the past so people who couldn't buy one before will buy one when they happen to find one.

I'm honestly trying to humour you here.  You basically come in here with the equivalent of "Uh... who buys a PS3? Ppl who watch BR movies?!1!? lolz" and i'm bored so i'll pound my head against the wall before a mod steps in and warns/bans you.

I agree the wii has the best games, thats why its selling the best. The PS3 must have the worst games since its selling so poorly.

We are talking about America and in America PS3 sold less than X360.

Actually the craziest part of this is the fact that the Wii should settle close to 500k for the week and PS360 close to 275/280k for the week. If HD sales drop and Wii sales go up just a bit Wii could not only outsell HD sales combined it could do so twice over!

Its either because its the cheapest NEXGEN console

Or because people think it has the graphics/best controls/best online, consumers arent that smart, and sony and microsoft have done nothing to say the PS360 have better online or graphics.

 

Or perhaps, just perhaps... it is more desirable that the other two consoles.

What does MGS4 have to do with how well the Wii sells.... of course there is software pushing it, Wii Sports and Fit are and will continue to be major factors for a long time, The rest of the big hitting Nintendo titles will have an effect for a while too, and the rest os due to the sum total of the rest of it's library.

Not just MGS4, GTA4, and guess what, the number of people who doesn´t take them as the best thing ever is big, is like the PS2 all over again, the sales of the previous games where just an small part of the total install base...

Yeah and the people who bought those games bought a wii when those games came out.You don't see major bumps in software for those titles now,do you?

Told ya Rock Band was huge haha.

Nah jk but it probably had somewhat to do with it haha. But overall last week was huge for Wii. I mean Brawl, ToS, and Rock Band all releasing in separate territories. All huge properties, and all worthy of increase in shipments and/or increase in sales.

But yes Wii sales are very good, and sooner or later you'll see 180k-200k be the average in NA. But June was set to be a big month either. DS has yet to falter in the Americas which suggest good things for the future.

Apparently sitll waiting for MGS4 bundles. If not then this is a time of concern. I don't know if MGS4 bundle is sold out which is why I leave it at ambiguous. But I'm assuming it is. While PSP and 360 maintain normal summer sales for their position in the market at the time.

Major Wii ownage this week, without a significant SW release.

360 selling average for this time of the year, yet Wii outsells it by a 4:1 ratio.

Wii outsells PS3 by a 5:1 ratio. Poor sony, PS3 is selling really bad after its biggest game of the year... Next months will be rough.
