I see no reason why this game even needs an install in the first place.

To avoid slow load times???

If it's true that Arcade/Core owners can't play this without buying a HD this could be great as it gives us a classic SDF post celebrating the 6.7 gig install and the 2 gig save.

Check this out. It says the Xbox360 version requires a HDD.

So Arcade/ Core owners can't play? Or am I reading that wrong?

Well, it does say "HDD Required" so I can't see what's to misunderstand. Unless whoever wrote that had no idea what they were writing about and just typed in random stuff.

yes it does, but this whole story is rubbish

why the hell would you need a 6gig install and a 2 gig save file for a 3d fighter, utterly garbage. im amazed people are taking this in.

and on the 360 version HD required thats mabey just for online play akin to burnout.

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

I can understand that some modes in SC require lots of space ( Weapon Master ) but these capacities are ridiculous. I second what Bodhesatva said; what next? changeable GPUs/CPUs/OS?

We already are updating the OS. 2.4 w/XMB, MS' quarterly updates, and so forth. And these have caused problems in the past, with game freezes and system lockups requiring re-patches. Furthermore, on the PS3, you can choose a different OS entirely (I have Linux installed).

Pretty much the only thing that's left is that you cannot upgrade your GPU, CPU and RAM. And man, do I wish you could upgrade the RAM :(

God no; Can you imagine spending 600$ on a PS3 and 1 year later MGS4 demanding a newer GPU and more RAM?

*shivers*

Doesn't bother me, but then again, I'm hardcore to the max.

Seriously though, one of if not my favorite genre is RTS, and RTS are particularly RAM hungry. 512 Meg simply won't cut it, as the woefully poor port of Sup Com demonstrated. I'd very much appreciate a RAM upgrade so that console weren't so technologically gimped in this regard.

The hard drive required thing isn't on the burnout page. Sucks for arcade owners though.

I followed the information shown on YesAsia.com to the official SoulArchive website. I didn't see they list the information about the "save data" and "game data" for PS3 version.

God, why would you guys take a reseller website like YesAsia seriously?
