I see no reason why this game even needs an install in the first place.

To avoid slow load times???

By installing the entire game on the HDD? *cough* Uncharted *cough*

MGS4,GTA4,DMC4

Damm thats alot of space but i aint buying the game anyway so.

Most of the people complaining about SCIV's install size don't really understand Soul Calibur I'd wager.  Soul Calibur games are Brawl-esqe in the amount of unlockables you get.  I'm also expecting the ability to save full replays.

As a side note, people with 20-40Gb PS3s are so screwed this generation unless they upgrade it's not even funny.

that is bs.. for a save file? no way in heck. The data part might be close but both combined is bs.

I'm sorry, I just can't believe this.

It's so obvious that the size of the save file is a typo.

+1 to anyone who gets this!  Lulz.

Looks like 360 owners will be making sandwiches also.

Soul Calibur IV on 360 Requires Hard Drive
56 The Xbox 360 Version of Soul Calibur IV will require the Hard Drive for Xbox 360. This along with the huge install on the PS3 version really makes you wonder about how much optimization Namco Bandai is putting into the game. Its unfortunate for Core/Arcade owners and for 20GB PS3 owners or those reaching the limit of their HD space on both consoles.

Edit: I don't think this is true, but it is from the same source that this entire thread is based upon.  So I think it is relevant.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
