This poll has been here forever (like 4-5 months) and most of the people voted at the beginning, besides i think there was a lot of hypes for MGSIV and GTAIV franchises mostly because there "wasn't" any "reals" AAA games for the ps3.

Yes, but a lot of people vote for the game that (as Valkyria said) like/want to be the top seller, Ex. MGS4

How hard could it possibly be to put up a weekly poll? Can't a mod, or content provider add that to their tasks.

Fine lets be honest here. The reason that GTA and MGS is getting picked is because the audience of this site and most gaming sites are the "core" market that plays those games. It will always will be, no matter how many systems that the Wii sells. That is because the other half of the 27 mil people who have bought the Wii don't come to these sites to talk about games and competition between consoles. They simply play the games they like (or thought that looked good to play) and thats it.

MK will easily be the top seller. Not because its core favorite or the best game. It will be the best selling game because it is the least threatening game of the bunch and has that cute Mario guy on the cover. Its rated E for everyone and Mom, Dad, Sis, Granny and Jr will all sit in the living room and play together as a family.

Wii Fit will come as a close second because Mom wants it and she runs the house in the end. Sis is not gong to play SSBB. Mom not going be running over hookers in GTA4. And Granny is not going to sneaking past PMCs in MGS4

I'll answer your question as Wii Fit. Not because I like Nintendo but because if you look at the numbers and the media attention it has. It might not be #1 all months but it'll be in the Top 10 for the rest of the year and it will eventualyl add up.

People judge games based on their hype and since the poll has been out pretty long, GTA4 and MGS4 have gathered a lot of hype. As you can see, Mario Kart Wii have had the least hype and it's in the last place. Besides, you can vote as many times as you like, if i'm not mistaken, so it also indicates the most active voters preferences.

I, btw, voted for MKWii and had only one option where to choose from, which was Brawl, but i believe that christmas market will decide the game for MKWii.

These online voting will be put into articles about studies and research. After all, 1 in 5 Canadian plays video games while naked.

I blame naked gamers for voting too much.
