Its prologue sold more then the previous ones, that all went on to sell 10 million plus on average. This one wont be any different. Plus it has online multiplayer, a series first if Im not mistaken.



I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

I think not, this generation Sony loss the casual market and 4-5 million buyers.

Good posters, do realize that the PS3's main weakness versus the PS2 is in America and Japan. Those territories are important to sales, but ultimately it comes down to PAL.

if the demo, excuse me, the game Grand turismo 5 prologue can sell 2 million, the full version should be like 3 times as much at least. so around 8 million because of the higher install base, i myself ignored the stupid prologue nonsense and am waiting for the full version as it is the best racing franchise ever!!!!

You are on record saying it will sell about 5 million (assuming you mean 5 million lost is from the GT4's nearly 10 million). It is the highest selling racing franchise ever, so you might want to rethink that.

All gts has sold more than halo and if gt5p can do 2 million i dont see why gt5 couldnt do 10 million.

Nobody says that they will sell 10 million in the first month. But GT5 will sell forever or until the next GT is released so it will easily make 10 million.
