First, gratz Benga and Sqrl. Good to see contribution get recognized.

The miscommunication with Fishy was unfortunate. He remains to be one of my favorite posters, and I feel that he performed quite well, but that's not really my call.

I would like to say to those people who are happy that he got demoted because you feel he wasn't be fair to Sony, and to say that you got a good chuckle out of it? well...

...it takes a lot to get me to actually be dissapointed in a fanboy, but apparently it's possible.

Otherwise, Fishy, I know you'll read this bro. I hope you don't stop posting here. Look at me. I've never needed mod status to ban stupidity.

Also, ioi, thanks for clearing that up. It's obvious that no-one would want to touch this post with a 10 foot pole, but you did it with class sir. Something that the guys from gaf and NPD lack. Once again you impress me with your dedication.

Thanks all for the kind words, everyone! I'll do my best. Rest assured that there'll be no bias whatsoever in my ruling. My appointment also means that there's an extra mod during the European daytime, which is good.

The only thing I wonder: Can I still rant on CrazzyMan now that i'm a mod?

I still don't understand why Fishyjoe was let go of his modship. IMO he was doing a fantasic job toning down these fake alt accounts and trolls on this site.

Sorry to see him de-moted, but hopefully he does get his modship back. I rarely see sqrl on this site so I think he might end up being a roadkillers or a fishmaphone pretty soon.

But again congrats to BengaBenga for doing a awesome VGChartz interview with a mod and bringing in a wealth of content to keep the site going with his news articles and such. Hopefully he can put his mod skills to the test as the days and months come along.

I'll comment on this, because I feel that you got the wrong impression from what I posted.  I'm not "happy he got demodded", but I did get a chuckle out of it when I found out, but it was funny dammit.

I think a lot of people are confused here.  Fishy the mod, and Fishy the poster are two totally different people.  I didn't have any problem with Fishy the mod.  I think he did what was required of the job well, and am still confused as to why he's gone.  But Fishy the poster, that's a different story.  I won't go into it, but like I did before, I believe his posting style needs work.  And that's fine, because my posting style needed a hell of a lot of work, and still does, but it's getting there.

I just felt the need to clarify that I wasn't reveling in the fact that he was demodded.  So are you not disappointed in me Zen?  I don't want you threatening violence on me like you do Rol Stoppable!

Also - Does anyone think that ioi just has something against having the word "Fish" in your username?  First, Fishamaphone was demodded, and now FishyJoe.  The boss hates fish confirmed!!111!11one11eleven!!
