Or maybe March 2010 since most GOW games had press, screenshots and videos a good 12 months in advance. I can't see them making a March 2009 release if they'll be first showing off this game at E3, especially since it won't be gameplay ready. In any case, I can't wait for this game.

It's good that the God of War games have been consistent so far. GoW2 should have been on the PS3 (I still think that was a big blunder). The GoW games have been impressive looking games as well as good action games so GoW3 is on my watch list.

I give this thread a 9.6.

Thats all fine...and that man was right. However showing a CGI trailer 4 years prior and saying "this is what we are aiming for" is overkill.

Even Zelda TP was shown in 2004 and came out in 2006.

Nevertheless, I hope god of war comes out next year. Games I want to play on ps3 are not very common and this is one of them...

And not just that but PS3 games are harder and take longer to develop for plus they've only said recently they've been working on it. Sony usually announce things years in advance so I'd bet it'd take them 2 years or so to make a GoW3. I'd expect March 2010 as well because March 2009 seems a bit rushed. I mean it's not gonna be playable at E3. They're probably gonna show off some teaser or maybe a short trailer but nothing that reveals A LOT because I bet it hasn't been in development long enough.

 

I'm thinking 2010, by for a different argument.


SOny will not want their FFXIII, GT5 and KZ2 + GoW3 to be all released in the same year. Sony will want to space those out... Say... KZ2 first quarter, something second, FFXIII third and GT5 fourth... with other smaller games in between

 

so, that leaves FFXIIIversus, GoW3, Uncharted 2, possibly taking shape in 2010.

 

now, I'm not including other games that are not even announced yet.

So if it comes out in 2010, you won't want to play it anymore?

This is my point. MGS4 took a long time to make. It was awesome when I played it. If I had played it 6 months earlier, I would not have felt my life was somehow more enriched by the gaming industry.

I don't care how long games take to come out, as long as I have a good stream of them. I have all 3 systems and a gaming PC, so I never run out of things to play :).

OMFG !!!! :D:D:D Arguably the best series of all is getting to an end , whit a game that will probably look breathtaking :D Cant freaking wait . Count in an extra PS3 sold for the launch of GoW3 :D

Hmm...that's a good argument as well. Plus I'm thinking WKC might be released in 2009 so that's probably a good decision.

 

 you guys do know that the gow3 team is going out and helping GG on finishing KZ2 right.... why would they do that unless they were ahead of schedual or close to done?
