Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) has launched a new teaser site for a mysterious new PlayStation 3 game referred to as “dress.”

For additional information, Sony trademarked "dress" with the following description:

"Providing exhibit space of virtual reality environments in the internet for computer generated 3-dimensional design of clothing on-line retail store services featuring downloable video game software, software for creating dress and wears for virtual reality avatars, software used for creating virtual reality avatars, and software for computer generated 3-dimesional clothing for avatars entertainment in the nature of fashion shows."

No further information is available at this time, although we’ll keep you updated with any new details as they become available.

This had better be good, mainly because if Sony is going for such a blatant casual title, they should make sure it's a quality one. And it's not as though their past casual titles have been cheap cash-ins. Even though Sony didn't embrace casual gaming enough (as Phil Harrison commented), games like Singstar are closer in terms of effort to Wii Sports than Imagine titles.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

I don't see why this is such a bad idea. Okay, yes, it does look stupid. But that's the same thing 90% of us said about Imagine: Babies, and yet it's made Ubisoft millions upon millions of dollars and is close to selling 2 million. And hey, it might actually not be half bad.

I don't blame Sony for going after this kind of market but it doesn't mean I have to buy it.
