I played the second Dark Cloud I thought it was only ok, hopefully this will be better.

Cool. I am not sure but I think I played the first one. Never played the second one though. I am definitely looking forward to DK3 if it is really in development. I just hope the gameplay is my cup of tea

Sony owns the Dark Cloud IP, so obviously another Dark Cloud would be exclusive to a PlayStation platform.

This makes me want to track down DC2 all the more. Maybe I should've gotten it instead of Ico off of ebay the other day. :(

Eh, I'll probably just get it later on.

Edit: Wait, March of '09?  Lulz.  At this rate we won't see WKC until March.

Sony's attempt at a zelda knock off on the PS2. The first game was pretty neat as you'd travel through dungeons doing level by level. After completing the dungeon, you'd have to put the towns together (they were destroyed by whatever happened, and you'd get the pieces of the town via the dungeon).

It was pretty good, very zelda esque with a few twists like element damage, weapon leveling, town building, and multiple characters.

 

 

 

OT: Sounds good, I'll be interested in seeing how it turns out.

I bought the original on the premise that it was "like Zelda" only to find out that it wasn't really like Zelda at all.  It was still fun, though, and from what I understand the second one was much better than the first.

Yea this has been rumored in the past.  I know i recently saw it spring up in gametrailers forums, but someone was using a pretty old article as the source in that post.  Surprisingly, I would be pretty excited about Dark Cloud 3 if it turned out to be true. I really enjoyed part 2 and would really look forward to another one.

I don't know much about Dark Cloud so I just did a quick search.

The first one got 80% on metacritic, and the second one got 87% on metacritc. IGN and Gamespot gave DC2 9/10, AAA status.

I hope this rumour is true. Another quality JRPG comes to the PS3

I played the first ine when to young to know what a hack and slash Rpg was but I really loved it but i never picked up the ssecond one cuz i neverknew there was a second one. How much sales does this series usually get anyway?
