Seriously, enough with the petty bickering. I don't care who said what when.

The next person who post OT will be made an example of.

Do you mean Off-Topic or On-Topic......just joking

Last time I posted on topic talking about the sales I got threatened to be banned for not congradulating PS3.  I've been sent in a paradox.  There's an official thread for thanking PS3 and MGS4 that I just made so take it there.

Anyways as I was saying PS3 has larger increases than I first expected thx of course to the bundle and power of MGS4.  Of course Nintendo seems to have backed off with the Wii on this week by not increasing shipments which I see as a bad kind of arrogance.  360 not affected hardware wise so that's good for them.  DS keeps chugging along nicely and PSP is surviving.

How much do you think it sold? Give us an educated guess.

I think it's interesting that 360 was STILL up 3% this week. Even with the increased lure of PS3. It may die a slow death abroad but the thing won't quit in N.A.

Wii will surely be back on top next week.

Great week for PS3. It will be interesting to see how much of this boost it maintains over the next month or so.

NA is homebase. If the 360 can't sell there, then M$ would have to peace out from the console industry

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

PS3 will be back to norm within a week, two at max. Nice minibump while it lasts. The UK numbers however do not bode well for long term support.

really? you think it'll go from 77k to 8k in a week? and from 120k to 40k?

I almost certainly think it will be back down to 40-50k in the US within a week or two yes.  There are no bundles left and the hype will wear thin real quick. Sony is not going to be able to restock these 80gig bundles quickly either as that will take time and I almost doubt they will anyways if their track record with 80gigs has anything to say to date. Let's also not forget the Wal-Mart promtion is gone now as well.   On the Japan side I'll say 10-20k in two to three weeks at most.

somebody give this guy a medal.

Im not saying it as a FACT, Im just saying there is a possibility, overall dissapointing sales for NA.

Looks like according to vgchartz it didnt sell much after the first day, maybe 100k.

Your last paragraph summarises the situation nicely...
