Read the red part again.
They were not paid by Nintendo, I think they did it to advertise themselves, partly to get famous and partly to advertise their own advertising skills.

I'm not really concerned about whether it was real or a ploy, she looked good doing it, and they kept things fairly subtle overall.

 Yeah.  The only 'marketing' part seems to be the 'this was secretly filmed'.  Who cares?  It struck gold and now is going to become yet another non-paid-for ad for Nintendo Wii Fit.  Half the expenses in marketing there must be the party expenses, celebrating how little has to be spent on marketing!!

It also validates Nintendo's Wii marketing in general, that won't work for Sony or MS.  Namely, you watched the 1:09 Utube of someone playing a Wii game, versus would you watch someone playing Halo or GTA IV?

Why is everyone flocking to watch this somewhat attractive woman in her underwear move her but around in a semi-circle when you can see the same thing on any given episode of Sex and the City? (protest all you want, I still watch it on mute) And lets not forget pretty much every show on G4TV or Spike finds a way to sexually exploit some woman in a bathing suit, or have we already forgotten the hotdog swallowing contest on Attack of the Show?
