......so you would be for socialism and consistently high gas prices??

So you would be for endless wars and the loss of the Constitution and our civil rights?

See, I can marginalize the other side with gross generalizations, too.

besides which... Obama's healthcare plan isn't socialism and he is also for the endless war. He just wants to try a different way to end it.

He said himself he'd put troops back in if the pullout had negative effects... and I mean he does have plans to keep a "strike force" on a base in Iraq to strike at terrorists unilaterally.

Common sense he can't pull all the troops out of iraq and leave the place unstable if he plans to have a permanent base for strikeforce troops.

While his healthcare plan is just like how Car insurance works. Don't have healthcare for you kid? Pay a big fine when you take him to the hospital. Such a law is supposed to lead to a "lowest legal coverage" provider to come out for cheap.

There is a lot of misinformation about Obama out there on people voting for him and against him. You've gotta pay attention to what the polticians actually say when they lay out their plans. Not when they are doing their rally speeches.

Hell, McCain even wants to start withdrawing troops.  He just plans to do it a little slower then Obama to be careful it isn't going to suddenly start an upshoot in violence.

Shigeru Miyamoto

....

I mean John McCain, LOL

Though I think its notable that only like 6 times in the past 150 years or something like that has the office of president NOT changed party (ie a republican was elected after a current republican)

His other policies (especially health) are just long-term cash sink-holes with no benefit beyond a year or two.

Public health is long-term cheaper than private health, if it is a large-scale investment. In the UK, if everyone using public healthcare suddenly chose to go private and could redeem the tax money spent, it would be far more expensive.

i say obama mccain looks like he would die in office first year.

19 Weeks Out, Obama and McCain Neck And Neck In Hoosier State: In an election today in Indiana, Barack Obama takes 48% of the vote, John McCain 47% of the vote -- a statistical tie -- according to this latest SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WHAS-TV Louisville and WCPO-TV Cincinnati. Obama's 1-point lead is within the survey's 4 percentage point margin of sampling error, and these results should be reported as a tie. Among men, McCain leads by 5; among women, Obama leads by 7 -- a 12-point gender gap. Among voters age 18 to 49, Obama leads by 5; among voters 50+, McCain leads by 3. Obama leads by 22 points among voters under age 35. 16% of Republicans cross over to vote for Democrat Obama; 19% of Democrats cross over to vote for Republican McCain; Independents favor Obama by 7 points. Among those voters who say they have already made up their minds, the two candidates are tied; among the 25% who say they could still change their mind, Obama leads by 2.

....

Obama leading McCain in Indiana is pretty huge.. I don't think its ever went blue at least it never has in my lifetime.

So far every poll or analyst has either a tie or an Obama landslide, right? Has anybody predicted McCain winning yet?

Not really... A few people on this thread and a couple people who think a black person could never become president.

RCP Average 06/15 - 06/23 -- 48.3 40.8 Obama +7.5
LA Times/Bloomberg 06/19 - 06/23 1115 RV 49 37 Obama +12.0
Gallup Tracking 06/21 - 06/23 2587 RV 46 43 Obama +3.0
Rasmussen Tracking 06/21 - 06/23 3000 LV 49 44 Obama +5.0
Newsweek 06/18 - 06/19 896 RV 51 36 Obama +15.0
FOX News 06/17 - 06/18 900 RV 45 41 Obama +4.0
USA Today/Gallup 06/15 - 06/19 1310 LV 50 44 Obama +6.0

I think the clearest sign yet that McCain is in a lot of trouble is the fact that he's losing in a foxnews poll.

ummmm....hate to rain on your parade everybody....but I'm pretty sure that betting on politics is illegal.....
