worth it if it got him into FF series...got a lot of games to look forward to

i am getting it as well, i will get ff3 this week. cant wait for the dragon quest remakes that are coming to the states this year too. more rpg's my favorite genre.

FF IV is my favorite entry in the series (I've played all of them except II, V, and VIII). I'm definitely picking this one up day one. It'll be an early birthday present to myself.

I already have the japanese version, but plan on getting the English.

Yep, I got mine preordered and Tactics as well.

This is my favorite RPG ever. And if I hadn't bought FF IV Advance a few years back, or if this summer didn't have so many games for me to buy/catch up on, I'd definitely bite. I know I'm definitely going to come back and buy a copy sometime. But for now, I'm sad to say I'll have to leave this one be.

i've already beaten the japanese version which i actually bought (no R4 here). I was very impressed by this game, the cutscenes are very epic and the dialogue was excellent (not sure about how it translates to english though). The gameplay is the same but with how radically changed the graphics are and the dungeons being in kind of a diagonal overhead view it gives it a much fresher feel.

40 dollars is well worth it, i spent about 50 to get it in Japan.

 I never had a PS2, so I could never play FF X. I downloaded FF VII for PC and got really bored really fast. And  Fire Emblem > Tactics.

very excited.. looking forward to it

 I absolutely loved this game. I never imagined the enhanced edition would have been so great.
