Forums - Nintendo - ign reviews blast works and death jr

Woo; bring on the quality Wii exclusives! (Well, Death Jr. is an enhanced port, but it seems to be so much better than the PSP game that it might as well be exclusive.) Thus far, those two games and Boom Blox have defied everyone's expectations in regards to quality. I wonder what else we'll see from new IP on the Wii...

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Still got Death Jr. at the top of my GameFly Que. Looks like an ideal rent/beat/return kind of title.

Hm, Blast Works received an 8.1, the same score as Boom Blox...

And seeing as Wii owners haven't seen a decent platformer in some time, I might check out Death Jr. as well. Glad to see that they both received some pretty decent scores.

and Blast Works unluckily got reviewed by Daemon Hatfield (that writes one bad review after another), but it seemed to be good since the early previews.

Death Jr. looks like a good game too.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Blast Works is a really good game. I'm looking for it now! =)

I'm on the fence about Death Jr. I'm already in the hole for games I need to buy without Death Jr. coming in and making it even worse. I'll definitely be picking up Blast Works at some point and I still need Wii Fit and Boom Blox (tried to buy it tonight, but Wal-Mart sucks at games).

Surprising scores, didn't expect those scores, might get those games when they have a price cut.

^are they already full price?

I just looked it up on gamestop and they have both at $40

I'll wait when they are around 20 or $25
