Whoa, easy! For all we know, it could be a MMO (as there has already been shown interest in making a BioShock MMO), which would mean that I might try the trial, and even if I like it, never touch it again.
Besides, getting excited about something so far out in the future has never been good for any game. I'm not gonna be even remotely excited until we've played BioShock 2 ;)

Sequels that are released 2 years after the original seldom impress me, and often have a generic feel to them. Simply more of the same.
R6: Vegas - Vegas 2.
Ghost Recon - Ghost Recon 2.
Gears of war - Gears of War 2
Resistance - Resistance 2
And so on...

RSV had a 1.5 year gap, which was why it was so similar
GRAW only had 1 year gap
I think 2 years is a perfectly long time, I would not want to have to wait three. Think CoD 2-4 that was a big enough change wasn't it. Surely you should wait for GeoW 2 and R2 to make your judgements on those, both will be excellent IMO, and Insomniac have a history of delivering games every year and they always make quality titles
Way too early to get excited about Bioshock 3's announcement. BioS was a great game, don't get me wrong (bought for 360 and getting again for PS3), but we haven't any details or hands-on with the second installment for it to be deemed worthy of yet another in the series. I don't know about you guys, but the first was too good to be exploited by half-assed sequels aimed solely for profit.
All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be.

Well what could be happening is that the second is being written to tie into a trilogy (kind of like ME, but that was planned as one from the start) to try and make a more continuous story

who knows, I don't think they have announced platforms details
Great. They're going to whore out the BioShock franchise. Yippee.
It makes sense to create two games... The original and one that occurs during New Years Eve 1959.
After that, let it die.
