Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Own a Wii and Looking for a Bargain? Buy These 25 GC Games Less Than $250

That's a huge amount of money but also a huge amount of games;..(I would throw three games out though).

Battalion Wars is $7.00 on Amazon, for about 6-8 hours of gameplay.

SSBB , and Mkwii are both upgraded better versions. What's the point in buying a prequel with less content than their sucessors.

i have no idea about mk, but dont talk about brawl in that way.  seriously, it is barely related to melee.  the two games are just so radically different that you should probably not even call brawl a sequel.  i personally like melee better and i have a friend who almost refuses to play brawl because of melee.

that being said, i think the reason is price at least for melee.  that game is still expensive seven years after release.  and just to back this up, he has ssx3 which is pretty much all gameplay and the wii has blur.  there are other wii sequels from that list, but all are games with story or are very different (ie ww having little story, but tp is very different)

my pillars of gaming: kh, naughty dog, insomniac, ssb, gow, ff

i officially boycott boycotts.  crap.

I never said brawl wasn't different. I said brawl had upgrades to what melee had. Brawl also have new things also. Please don't assume brawl being an upgrade is bad. It has everything melee has and more.

Actually I'd consider RE4 at $9 (plus shipping probably) a ripoff. The Wii version new retails for $30 and comes with superior controls and the added PS2 bonuses. Mercenaries is good mindless fun where you just kill a ton of zombies. There's 2 Ada missions, one extremely short and not canon. The other though is pretty interesting as it lasts 4-5 hours itself and fleshes out what Ada does through the game.

I'd say for the bonuses alone you should get the Wii version. And if for some reason you really really hate the Wiimote the GC controls still work on the Wii version.

Viewtiful Joe is great though and really easy to find. I had to hunt for a while to find Eternal Darkness and I still can't find Metal Gear Solid at a retail store near my location but VJ is everywhere! I've seen piles of both VJ and VJ2 at Kmart.

Why the hell there are sports titles (23, 24, 25)in that list? That is wasted money. LotR games sucks no matter how you look at it. There are better ways to spend that money. You could buy REmake and RE 0 for 10-15 dollars. Pikmin is also a good deal. And how the fuck did they forget Fire Emblem.
