Forums - Nintendo - Boycott Ubisoft.Tell your Mom,Grandma as well.Don't just bitch on the net.

i just read what the guy said about the wii. He basicly said that wii owners are not gamers and said only party games sells on the wii. Can the wii casual gaming success hurt it with the 3rd parties, who can tell? if they are not developing hardcore games for it.
You guys shouldnt be mad at Ubisoft, blame Nintendo's marketing. They advertise the wii as a family only device, so developers are going to produce family only products. maybe Conduients will change their mind.

So Nintendo expanded the market with motion controls and Wii Sports, and Ubisoft are taking advantage of the expanded market.

Plus some of Ubisoft's games for the Wii are fun (Rayman Rabbids).

YOu don't understand that the expanded market most likely won't buy babies or Petz, unless they like crappy games. Wii Sports, Wii play, Wii Fit, Mario Party 8, Wario Ware, are all excellent casual games that Petz and Imagine: Babiez don't compare at all to.

Imagine: Babyz for the DS is a million seller, people love it.

"Casuals" don't care if a game gets 5/10 on IGN, they just care about a fun party game. Look at Mario Party 8. It is one of the best selling Wii games, but it got about 60% on gamerankings.

Actually,

There's no need to boycott Ubisoft. Do you actually believe that they are blind or deaf to not know about the hate all over the internet? Their reputation has gone down among wii owners who supported their launch games and wanted more and they know it. If they don't anything about it it's their problem, not ours. And getting pissed and insulting them will not achieve anything. A boycott won't work either because PC/PS3/360 owners are happy with them and they deserve great games as much as we wii owners do. We're not the owners of the world.

I suggest a far better strategy against the big game development companies that are not delivering to the wii: Independent game companies

Independent game companies are putting a lot of effort in making original games for the Wii (The Condiut, Mushroom men, Sadness?, WiiWare titles). They want to prove that great game experiences can be achieved on Nintendo's console. But simply buying the games is not enough (look what happened to Zack and Wiki).

Spread the word about their games, online and offline. Show non-gamers the game and that they can play it as well. Encourage them to play them and NEVER call them n00bs (or any other offending word about their skill) show them they can play the game. Help the independent game developer/publisher to spread the word (they might not have the resources to market the game fully), give them feedback IN A POSSITIVE WAY. The more we support them, MORE WII QUALITY GAMES WILL COME FROM THEM

to sum it up.... Show companies like Ubisoft that if they don't change their stand on the Wii... disruption will come for them

I know, like they only showed young children playing Metroid Prime 3 under the supervision of their parents in the comercials:

It's not like they tried to show a wide selection of young adults playing this game. How will they ever sell to gamers if they only advertize that their games are "family friendly"

1/73 of the userbase bought Imagine Babiez and now everybody loves it? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't sell that much on the wii. Probably half at most. Most ds games sell at least a million anyway.

oh, damn, that's pathetic, Ubisoft is showing the wii no love. But i doubt thats all they are offering this year.

NO that's not all.

They have

http://vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=12928

and let's not forget the wii version of a snow boarding game that looks like ds graphics. I don't even think there is a ps2 version they are porting from either.

Since when does Wii owners care about graphics? If you don't like the graphics then buy the PS3/X360 version...

This has to be the most stupid post of the day.

Are you implying that we have to buy DS quality games on the Wii, just cause of a lazy arrogant developer? Wii is capable of much more. And yea I don't care about PS3 graphics, but I DO CARE that developers put some effort in their work.

Graphics show the amount of effort put in a game to begin with.

Arrogant developpers?  I am sure they think like a lot of devs are doing now.  People who are buying a PS3/X360 care about graphics visuals => Look to all those discussions Gears looks better!  No X game looks better etc!...

You only saw a screenshot no gameplay vid still you assume the Gold version will look like this?

Ubisoft is like one of the few devs who are porting some of their games to the Wii (a lot of them don't)  but if Ubisoft didn't made let it go on the Wii then we probably saw a thread now ;...Boycott Ubisoft because they don't port it to the Wii!  Serious;..

You are still acting stupid...

1)I saw a gameplay vid, you can see it at IGN.com

2) All their ports have had NO effort, zip zero NADA. They just do a rush job, port a 5 year old game, dont touch graphics, dont bother to adapt the controls properly, dont debug the game. What's worse they charge you 50 bucks for a piece of shit, I'd rather have my dog crap on my mouth before buying that.

3) We dont want ports of the HD games, we want games designed to be played with the Wii controls, and with at least some FUCKING effort technically.

i also dont think it would of sold good on wii

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

Plus, you do realize that hardly anyone cares about who develops the games they buy.

OH btw casuals may not care about reviews, but if they don't like the game do you think they woudl really buy it?
