GOW2 is just a diversion, its a secret plan by Xbox360 fanboys everywhere to make Sony fans underestimate the lineup by ignoring the secret weapon that is left 4 dead. Which is a game that will have a far greater impact than GOW2, RFOM2 and KZ2 combined. If you include the Deadliest catch then not even 3 years of Sony releases could match the quality of those two games with sheer weight of numbers even. Honestly the Xbox360 attach rate will go down to 2 for new consoles as people wouldn't need more than those two games. Too bad IOI doesn't come on the Xbox360, otherwise it would be a knockout.

Sure. You just don't like that GoW is better than your precious mario-games. Would it be that bad if the sequel would be better too? Maybe even sell more?! :D

Hardley it will bomb gears 1 has sold over 5 mill even if gears 2 will be half as good its going to sell 3.5 mill bt end of 08 if it does release in nowember.

@ rock: Seriously though: PS3 will have great games in 2009, but they're already known for years. If you really think that not a single great exclusive will come for 360 you're insane. Maybe nothing the size of FF and GT, but big nonetheless. Alan Wake, Star Ocean, Forza 3, Splinter Cell and probably a generic shooter or 10.
RE5 will probably sell most on 360, because of American poularity.

      Gears II will be last the big game for the 360 from Microsoft Game Studios as they will be shifting development to their next console which will be out in 2009 or 2010 with Gears 3 being its Halo 3.

Its okay to be a fanboy but calling 3 mil sales a bomb is really getting extreme! It'll probably sell even more because most who bought part 1 will want part 2!

GeoW 2 will sell near Halo numbers. It will be the biggest 360 release this year regardless of the reviews. This type of game appeals to the 360 demographic.
