Are you joking?  Cause Sony has nowhere near the kind of cash that would be necessary to buy out SE.  SE is a very independant developer and hardly listen's to Sony's whim.

Often what sites will do is over-hype a small or moderate announcement (in particular if they're the only ones reporting on it) in order to attract attention to their site. If this really was a massive announcement the developer would wait 1 Month and release it to all of the press at E3 ...

Yeah probably the finalized version of killzone 2. Gotta get hype pre-halo3, which is why they are focusing on 360 in that story.
