Depends on if you want to have fun by yourself or with friends, really.

Super Mario Galaxy is a great single-player game, while Mario Kart Wii is a fun multiplayer game.

Mario Kart Wii is an extremely addictive game, especially if you're interested in playing online.

Super Mario Galaxy is a fantastic platformer, a must-have for anyone who has a Wii. Get this one first.

They are both really good games.

But for one player, go for Super Mario Galaxy
For multiplayer/online fun, go for Mario Kart Wii

Tough choice... I'd go with Mario Kart Wii first. You'll be able to play it whenever friends come over.
