Normal, inverted just confuses me.
I used to be "goofy" when I first started playing FPS (Counter-strike has been good to me over the years) but since the transfer to console FPS (damn halo) I've switched to normal, and even now when I go back to PC shooters I use normal.
Wiimote in the current generation, Normal on GC in the last generation (... my brother prefers inverted.)

I have to invert the Y-Axis.
It's like moving a real life camera, or a real life gun.
It's not just an up-down motion.
It's rotation of the shoulder joint.
You rotate down to move the gun/camera up.
If the controller is the opposite of the natural motion, I'm totally fucked.
It's like getting that one disease in Bomberman that inverts all your controls.
