Sadly, it seems this is the best we are going to get for online co-op. Oh well, it does look fun.

I may be the only one, but I think co-op in multiman melee would make it too easy. 100 man melee will be a joke. Instead of having 5 go after you, and needing to kill 100, co-op would have some chase you and some chase your teammate, so you only fight 2-3 at once AND you would only need to kill around 50.
This would be exemplified in cruel melee. The part that made it so hard was that they all came after you. If they were split up, then it would be much easier to get KOs then if you were doing it yourself.
That being said, however, hopefully this means that they will allow online co-op in the rest of the game. Now that would be really exciting.

I thought online co-op was confirmed for basically everything. I think I was mistaken now; everything else (SSE, Targets, Events) are all only confirmed for local co-op, eh?
