Yes, Melee did it...but I don't think it's really neccessary anymore...they should have just made the graphics to their desire...I think that blur option was more valid with SDTVs, and more and more have HDTVs now.

Well, I guess it doesn't hurt to have the option.

Blah, options. Ice Climbers was cool, but too much garbage noise at the beginning. I want them to bring out another new character!

Uh, it's pretty much guaranteed that all those characters in that poll will return. If Ice Climbers return, then Luigi, Ganondorf, and Captain Falcon will definitely return. Game & Watch has a very small chance of getting kicked, as he wasn't very popular...but that didn't stop the Ice Climbers. And Falco was a clone, and there are other Star Fox characters that could replace him, but I find it unlikely.

These characters mentioned will likely remain secret, except for Captain Falcon I'd guess. I'm guessing Captain Falcon will get an official update sometime this month or in January.

Yeah, but every post they put up that's some feature I already know about, as opposed to juicy info kinda kills me a little bit on the inside. I mean, they don't make *completely* useless posts all that often, but when it happens, I'm sad.

It's because the game was originally supposed to be released over a week ago. They would have given some very juicy updates for the past couple weeks...but since now we have about 2 months to go (42 more days of updates) ...they need some filler so they can leave the juicy updates for the second half of January. It'll get better.

 Well in the screenshot to play you can either go to team battle or basic brawl, basic brawl sounds like a standard rules (timed) battle and i doubt team will be different. taking stock battles of online doesnt sound like somehing they would  do due to their decisions so far but it looks like it might swing that way.

P.S They had better give us an amazing update for christmas day.

I'm pretty sure you have the option of time or stock matches online...most people play stock anyway.

We know that you can pick items and the stage, but that your online opponents will likely pick different options.  The options are chosen by a lottery of the player's choices.  I'm guessing that the game mode will be the same as well...stock or time, depending on a lottery of the player's choices.

It would really suck if some picked only hammers or 99 life stock match...so now I'm wondering if perhaps I'm misintrepeting this "lottery" after all.

Either way...stock matches WILL work online...there's no way they couldn't. 

 Thats raised my hopes slightly, i forgot about that screen shot. Also you reminded me about this mode me and my mate used to play on in mellee. You set items to full and only use pokeballs, its insane!
