Edit: LoL. Just read the last sentence. I guess it IS the Lottery. Not a big fan of random.

I doubt its the lottery hes talking about, he wouldnt have put all that emphasis into the sentence if it was something already in the series.

It's something new to be sure...I suspect we'll find out this week...he hasn't gone long to reveal something new after hinting about it...a week at most. Excluding the Fire Emblem stage I suppose, which he purposely didn't show the last transformation of...

I have no idea what the coins will be for. I'd count the slot machine as shopping myself... so I'm out of ideas. Maybe the coins are your score, and every couple thousand you unlock a stage or song or something? No clue.

I was going to guess it enabled unlocking secret stuff...but that sounds like "buying" to me still.

Oh well, I predict we shall only have to wait a couple days to find out!

Also, as a side note...and I will probably get bashed for this, if not banned by myself...but does anyone else think the menu, and overall style of Brawl is strange and perhaps overly simple?

It seems like characters are placed in random sides or corners of the screen, it seems to use the general character models for each instance, such as the first Link picture there, and there's just random layouts everywhere.

It's by no means bad, and it's definitely Sakurai styled based on the previous games and others from Sakurai like Kirby or even Meteos...it just seems too random in my opinion. Seems like multiple people picked the layouts for different menus or something.

^Meh. Unless I see something better, I really can't complain. Looks good to me.

Also, it is possible that some of these menu's will be changed before the game is released, and they are simply being used as simple templates.

I know the Character Select and Stage Select, as well as the My Music designs are very well done.

Have you guys tried the stage editor some random dude on the internets made? It's pretty awesome.
