I love the brawl update ♥

Huh? You’re wondering what the coins on the Stage Clear screen are for? Um, you think they’re there to make it look more lively?

No, no. You earn and save these up little by little as you play. And supposedly you can use them somewhere. But no—you don’t use them to shop.

to play Texas Poker Hold'em?

...but, but it won't have teh Cell or BluRay!! How can it be better than LAIR?

Jk, not trying to start an argument, just amazed at how freaking awesome Sakurai is. Reminds me of an interview with the dev team a while back. The reporter walked past their break room and saw a Gamecube with four controllers that had analog sticks rubbed down to the nubs. The people working on Brawl were themselves huge fans of Melee that played it for hours daily since its release. Rarely if ever do actual creators of the game end up being fans of it. Sure enough though, the programmers and designers for Brawl knew what made Melee good, and they know how to make it even better for the gamer.

Maybe the coins unlock things.

nice update.

@eab:

Reminds me of the story of how when they were making Street Fighter II, they had trouble getting builds finished because they couldn't stop playing what was already complete.

Hates Nomura.

Tagged: GooseGaws - <--- Has better taste in games than you.

eab: Also, they were programmers, so they couldn't afford to buy a new gamecube controller or 4?

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

We're just 20 post behind "say something..." thread.

Nobody posted this yet? Man I NEED to see it with big pictures now. I got spoiled at VGChartz. The small ones disgust me now.

Classic

This is the classic single-player mode—hence the name, Classic.

In this mode, you try to clear each stage as you go.

Choose your favorite character and a difficulty level, then start the match!

Fight whoever appears!

The world you fight in is pretty much determined based on stage number. Stage 1 is based on The Legend of Zelda. Stage 3 is based on Pokémon. And each time, the characters are chosen randomly.

You’ll also find the status of enemies and rules of the match vary slightly to include things like Giant matches, Metal matches, and Team battles.

Heart icons indicate your allies.

You cleared the stage!

So... You just keep playing until you reach the end. Easy to understand, right?
