Why would they make a Konami logo?

That space down there is for the consoles the character or item has been featured on, just like in Melee.

It would list a couple games Snake has been in. And they could put the 2 Nintendo console he's been on. NES and GC.

Just like Megaman could have GBA and GC as his consoles, and Sonic could have games listed under GC, GBA, DS, Wii, whatever.

You're not going to see any characters or items that have never been featured on a Nintendo console before...unless you count Snake's weapons...which I'm guessing not all the weapons have been in the first Metal Gear or The Twin Snakes...

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Technically speaking, they don't need to remove the Wii logo because Snake is in Brawl as a playable character!!!!!

No, he's just cell shaded because his most recent appearance was cell shaded. Cell shaded Link isn't happening. He would have to be a Link clone which Sakurai doesn't want.

You have Link in your sig, so I'm guessing you've played a few Zelda games, but maybe you need your memory jogged:

Link has many different items in the various Zelda games. You need to collect them in dungeons to advance through the game.

I'm guessing you've also played Smash Bros., but let me continue:

In Smash, the current "Adult Link" only uses a few of these items, mainly the Bow, Bombs, Boomerang and Hookshot.

It would be easy to give a "Young Link" character various objects from different Zelda games (which feature a "young link" more often than an adult one) for all of his Specials and Smashes. He would hardly "have to be" a clone of adult Link.

Snake was in two games for the NES; I think the second one was called Snakes Revenge??? Never got the chance to play it.

@Ben,
There were around 20 or so trophies (I think) in melee that were pretty hard to get. There were two trophies I never managed to pick up.

One required that you perform every possible score bonus, but I could never find a list of all the possible bonuses anywhere.

A second one required the appearing of an extremely rare pokemon. Never happeded.

Anyboyd out there who managed to pick up the trophy for performing all the score bonuses? I would be very interested in a complete list of every possible bonus.

I think the trophy was the Discon trophy?

Just use Action Replay to get them all and you can evenplay as Giga Bowser, Master Hand, Sandbag, and more.

I've played every Zelda game.  Sure, you could use some of the crappy items from Wind Waker like the Deku Leaf or the Skull Hammer, but what kind of Link would that be without his signature items?  Wind Waker items:  Deku Leaf, Boomerang, Bombs, Arrows, Skull Hammer.  That's it for items that have possible use in Wind Waker, and 3 of those are taken.

Not to mention his sword attacks are literally identical.  The same sword moves were used in OoT, WW, and TP right down to the spin attack.  I seriously doubt they are going to go accross series with his items.  That breaks the continuity that Sakurai has been trying to develop.

Huh? Mario uses his fireballs from SMB, his cape from SMW, and his squirt gun from SMS. Of course a character can use items from across their whole series.

What would Link be if he didn't use his signature items? Well, for starters, not the same as the Link already in the game.

I'm not even an advocate of the idea, I'm just saying. It's like the people who were saying Diddy would never make the game because "he'd just be a DK clone." Now that Nintendo is pursuing two different Link designs concurrently, having both in the game doesn't seem too farfetched to me, and I think there is ample inspiration to give them radically different movesets.

Bah, you can find a complete list of all bonuses using google, but its not that fun that way. Just play and eventually you will unlock it. The only bonus you have to know is the no dmg clear, just play through classic, adventure or all star modes withot getting any dmg and you get that bonus (somewhat hard to achieve). The last bonus i got was the paratroopa ko, it took me a lot to discover that one, you have to swallow a paratroopa using kirby and then just it eat or spit it as a star (i dont remember if spitting it counted as paratroopa ko too). The reason this bonus is tricky to get is because you can only get it that way, because if you stomp on it or hit it, it transforms into a normal koopa and therefore you get a koopa ko, not paratroopa, so be sure not to skip that bonus. The good thing about getting diskun without using a bonus list in the internet is that you will be proud of that and you can boast about getting it by yourself. But if you don´t have the time, just use a list of the bonus.
