The same thing everyone else was looking at in the Ice Climber stage when Peach was there.

-Manella: Yeah... sux0rz! I hate missing out on food...
-Maya: Nick... what does "Sucksores" mean?
-Phoenix: No idea...

This.... Is... SO.... COOL...

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

Yeah like DonWii said, expect a peach update early next week.

So let's recap on the update:

Unlike it's prequels, Brawl will have much larger focus on the singleplayer aspect of the game. Brawl's Adventure mode is set to be bigger than that of any other Smash game before. According to what shams said (whom i happen to agree with) is that the Subspace Emmisary are things sent by Master Hand (or some other kind of main protagonist) to punish those who "break the rules". This is all that's "known" so far. The mode is a side-scrolling adventure (much like the mushroom kingdom part of melee's Adventure Mode) and it is riddled with unnamed enemies (as well as ones such as the koopas and bullet bills) that the player must overcome. From the information we got i would say that this mode is going to be big...

Cutscenes - To help move the story along, there are a bunch of quick movies that are within the mode that are different for each character. From the screenshots (and the video) we can tell that this game is going to look awesome (HD or not), and i'm sure it'll look just as awesome in-game. Oh and it looks widescreen to me...

Character Development - According to Sakurai, there will be an emphasis on character development showing how each character goes throughout the story while carrying thier personal histories and unique burdens that give an experience you won't see elsewhere.

The Video - It seems that people got the video of the update that they were asking for..., anyways, the video pretty much only gives us more questions like whether or not thier be co-op and such, but beyond that is the confirmation of the "This World" theory that i had earlier. Mario and Kirby had obviously broken the rules by becoming friends it seems, and the crowd (as well as Peach and Zelda in the crowd) were happy at that. Soon trouble comes through the skies (which leads me to believe that those"cloud theorists" were just filled with imagination as the clouds weren't significant except for showing the sudden horror as well as the nice cloud effects) and the Emissaries came to unish Mario and Kirby. At seeing this Zelda and Peach came to aid Mario and Kirby in a battle against these attackers.

One Disc - The fact that he even mentioned the game still fits on one disc is a sort of evidence that the game as a whole is going to be big, and the adventure mode is going to be robust. Even if there is no online, i cannot lose my faith in this game.

"We’re putting tons of fighting spirit into making this game, so I hope you’re all looking forward to it." -Sakurai

So it's one of the greatest updates yet. Monday we get Peach for sure. The cutscenes makes this game dramatic and they should add a lot to the personality of each hero. It's a dark twist on a over-the top franchise like Smash and i like it!

"You won't find Adobe here in Nairobi"

Yeah, I like it too!

I think Monday will be Peach. I wonder when they'll do Sheik and Ganondorf because Aonuma confirmed them. Tuesday or Wednesday will probably be music. Maybe they'll do Peach's Final Smash on Tuesday or Wednesday?

=DDDDDDD
nice update

Every widescreen shot that we have seen so far is a screenshot of a video sequence not in game.

I think that's kind of obvious. :-p

Yeah...but that could mean the actual game won't be 16:9.

I think it will...it shouldn't be too hard to do.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

The game will be in widescreen. Are we forgeting the first two videos of the game? They were in widescreen. Oh and their now is a total of four different Brawl videos! BTW Link looks better in Brawl than TloZ:TP especially in that cutscene pic with link and yoshi!

EDIT: Plus if something is meant to be be widescreen on TV but the tv isn't widescreen then you'd see some black bars at the top and botttom of the screen.

Bet with OriGin: Within 1 year Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be ahead of Mario Kart Wii (when aligning the one whole year from each region). 2 week ban from Vgchartz for the loser. Edit: Darn! Looks like OriGin will win.
