All 3 consoles will set you back, at least Wii games are 10 dollars cheaper.

Hell yes! That's what I'm talking about. I would've given my firstborn son for a Wii at launch. Luckily for me I found one, and it cost $250 instead of a child sacrifice. 'Cuz I would've done it.

I know I'm arriving late and others have been on this already but I couldn't let this go by.
So MK sucks without a wheel, YEP, all driving games suck without a wheel. Does anyone really prefer driving with a hand controller? (Well yeah, but those are people who probably wank with an analog stick). With the Wii you can have a wheel with an inexpensive holder ($10 street) for the Wiimote proving how remarkably WELL DESIGNED and versatile the controller is. And the first one is included free with the game.With the PS3 and the Xbox 360 you have to completely replace the controller with a wheel that costs $99 (MadKatz) to $149 (Logitech). They are not included with the game.
Actually I never use the classic or my Wavebirds for any Wii game except for a few VC games that specifically require them

1st off, why would you need 4 duel shock controllers? NBA2K8? At the most you need 2 PS3 controllers.

For a 'party' Wii system. (what it's for right?) We will need to buy... 1x Wii - 249.99 429.93 That is what a Wii system will run you today. The new Wii-Ware is pushing the data so far beyond the hardware, it's not funny. Soon, we will be faced with 2 choices. 1. Start downloading only what we are playing, and second... well, spend 50-100$ for a external HDD. When you add in the base entry requirements, then add in the new 'HDD' that we will be needing... We are looking at a painful number, very close to 500$ to get the system completely built. Then there is the annoying trend, of games needing, special 'attachments' MK-Wii is a good example. If you wanna play 4-way, you will probibally want to pick up another 3, 9.99$ Wii-Wheel. Also, alot of games, you need, or will want the 'classic' controller. Which in the event of Smash, you would want 4... As the Wii-mote SUCKS on that game. So you add on, your 4 'classic' controllers, at 14.95! We are quickly comming up on 600$ just for hardware. On regards to the 360. Let's go with this one. It comes with your 20gb HDD, and the wireless controller. As let's use the 360 for the same situation, and play party games on it, to 'favor' the Wii in this, as the wii is meant for it, the 360, is more of a 'one person per console' online system. 1x X-Box 360 - 349.99 Ok, and as far as the 360 goes, that's all I can think of needing... just about ever. And that comes to 469.96$.That's about 100$ cheaper, than the Wii!!! How much more is the Wii gonna get that is 'necessary' to play the games?! (I do not count Wii-fit, as it is specific for the one game, and it 'expands' the original concept of the machine, and is not 'useful' in anything but the one application. *jumps in a swimming pool to hide from the rapidly approaching firestorm* |

You had your answer inside of your post and didn't even see it.

Which means that FOUR people are playing it, since that is why you bought all 3 extra attachments of each type. $600/4 = $150 a piece.
360 you have as $470. Don't know why you bought the 3 extra controllers for it. I suppose since the box itself breaks down often enough, you are thinking that the controllers will as well. It really can't be for having 3 other people around, since as you also say, "the 360, is more of a 'one person per console' online system."
There you have it. $150 per person for the family and friends of the Wii owner. Or $470 for the one guy that wishes and hopes that someone else wants to play Viva Pinata. I'd have him go for GH3, but you didn't have him buy any additional accessories for that game, so he still would be playing it by himself.

Rofl. You people are missing a quite big point.
You need a $2000 TV to enjoy PS360 at maximum while a $1000 TV is more than enough for Wii.
I got my 54" HDTV for only $480. And I play Wii games on it, and watch regular-ass DVDs and even VHS movies on it.
