 Oh I know he's serious about the impact of WiiFit, and I've read his other articles on his site. I know where he stands, I just meant for this one instead of just writing another article he also played up on the fanboy melodrama probably in part to be entertaining and part to strike some fear in disbelievers by saying it WILL happen in his own book of Revelations.

Ah darthdevidem01, ever the disciple of the spin doctors... A large launch is meaningless in the long run, because it's lifetime sales which people ultimately look at down the road. Who will honestly care that GTA4 launched to 6 million in 1 week come 2016 when Nintendogs will have managed to sell 6 times that at the very least by then, while GTA4 will be languishing permanently at nowhere near three times its launch sales?

The age of the blockbuster game's unparalleled dominance is coming to an end. The functional game is rising to join it, and will likely even surpass it one day. Do not panic. This is the natural course of things.

even if GTA Iv lowballs & does 10 million nintendogs would have to sell 60 million...you sound very foolish saying that

It's just a joke get over it, malstrom can go dance around his hat all day long, I just give him credit for the pimp slap thing... For some reason I picture it as:

The camera paned around 180 degrees and zoomed out for a full body shot, then normal time ressumed and the reciever of such a slap spun in the air at a pace that seemed to keep him/her there for much longer than they should of been. And now, on the subject of responding to others' claims by declaring them fanboys, viral marketers, and other such attacks...

It is the convenient mantra of the elitist to declare others to be elitist as well when they don't share the same viewpoint. However, this is nothing but a means of evading the issue. To accuse others of elitism instead of responding to what they say in a meaningful way is simply running from facing the point which has been placed before you. Whether or not your opponent is an elitist is of no consequence to their argument, as if that is the case, it only changes that it is a battle of elitist viewpoints; the viewpoints remain for debate either way.

If you wish to fight a battle, do not do so by stating that your opponent is no better than yourself. This is a prevailing assumption on any battlefield as it is. Using it as an attack is as pointless as waiting for the weather to defeat your enemy on the field of battle so you don't have to. It is the weapon of choice for those who possess no other means of fighting.
