I'm playing this game atm, it's sooo awesome!

Even with everything on low, the game looks beautiful.

When I played the beta, it was already nice, in Tortage, the starters area. But now, at 20+, you get to the big world, which is even better!

And yes, the fatalities, blood on your PC screen, is lovely to see. You can chop off someone's head, or stab in his neck, and see the blood flowing out of it.

From what I've heard, this game doesn't have the casual appeal of WoW. And I know that it doesn't have the low system requirements needed to achieve an enormous userbase. And finally, WoW is established, with years spent fine-tuning game balance, addressing stability issues, and adding/tweaking content to keep a broad appeal.

Conan would do well to carve out its own sizable niche of the MMO market. I don't think anybody but Blizzard themselves can unseat WoW at this point.

nothing can dethrone WoW, too many kids playing that game.

I really dont want AoC to be as big as WoW, that game have no communtiy at all(way too many servers).



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

Yea thats a lot of beta sign ups. Even more so then Warhammer. Hope it can somehow actually get that many subscribers because that would be amazing.

Sounds promising :o... i doubt it can it can get passed Wow, well atleast not until Star Craft 2

I agree with what you've said.  Good points.

To add to yours, WoW's anime-ish style was one of the reasons why its success reached beyond Western countries.  AoC's realistic design won't appeal to Asian gamers as much as WoW did.

Whenever a new MMORPG comes out, people always say "WoW is finished!".  It's just a wishful thinking.  I've heard the phrase even when Matrix Online was released.  People are so predictable.  

AoC will probably achieve a moderate success. With so much boobs and blood, it will draw many players at puberty from WoW.
