| Hyperion said: I'm really considering buying this game, so if anyone has anything to say to convince me, say it! I'm either going to buy Boom Blox or spend my money on some Wiiware/VC games because there aren't many games I want coming out in the future. (No Wiifit for me.) |
You have puzzles which are just as brain-teasing as Zack and Wiki, but require more skill to complete successfully. A wide variety of tools, objectives and strategies are available. It will take you quite some time just to pass all the levels, let alone beat them with gold medals to unlock all of the crazy weapons (what's cooler, a hose that shoots lasers, or a hose that shoots bowling balls?).
Then you have a suite of kickass multiplayer modes, both co-operative and competitive. From waging war against each other's fortresses, to competing for points while toppling towers, to an incredibly strategic, curling-inspired game. These sound like minigames, but the consideration you can put into how you play these games is immense.
When all of this gets stale, you can use the level editor to modify any stage in the game, or create your own from scratch. Share these creations with people on your friends list.
Some of the modes and puzzles are more fun than others, but that's more a testament to the sheer amount of content in this game than an indictment of its quality. I do wish they had included more multiplayer stages in the game, but this shortage is what I intend to address with the level editor first. :D
