Castlevania?  There are a bunch of em.  The three 3 on the NES, 1 on the SNES and PS1 ones are the best in my opinion.

I don't think "rumor" and "confirmed" should be in the same title, since they're exact opposites. But hey, that's just me, and what do I know.

Anyway, my fingers are crossed that this is 2-D, or failing that, at least doesn't suck absolute ass.

You know, I think the only Castlevania game I actually finished was the one on the N64. For some reason, despite my efforts, I never could finish the ones on the GBA and DS.

Also, Symphony of the Night is available on XBL and PSN.

Not to mention the asston of GBA and DS games, and the one on PSP.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I'm torn on 2-D vs. 3-D issue. I know that the only good Castlevania games have been 2-D, but that seems to be a mater of circumstance rather than something that's pre-ordained.

So how about a 2D DS game, and the first non-suck 3D Castlevania for the Wii?

I'd like to see some 1st person perspective boss battles (think Mystical Ninja starring Goemon on N64...also developed by Konami). The physical throwing motion could be used for whip, boomerang, holy water, ax, etc...while the nun-chuck could allow for movement and dodging (motion).

The rEVOLution is not being televised

First the initial rumor of Castlevania coming to Wii (among other platforms) then the Moon in Nintendo Power, then IGN Wii confirming that there would be a pretty big announcement from Konami... now this...

The Konami event is today... so we'll see what happens. But you'll find me in Rubang's boat, rooting for a 2D title (I hope there's room).
