Forums - General - Iron Man is F@&$ing Sweet! A Must See!

OT: I can't wait to see this movie. Iron Man is one of my favorite superheroes (I own 100+ issues of the 80s and 90s books) and Robert Downey Jr. looks like he nailed the Tony Stark character perfectly.

lol ok maybe the word "suck" was a bit harsh ....I was just expecting too much I guess . i'll rewatch it later when I have time, maybe its better the second time around.

I go to about 3 movies a year, but this will be one of them. I've left the majority of my comic book geek cred behind me, but RDJ does seem to be the perfect guy to pull off the cockiness of Tony Stark. The previews looked solid, and hearing it ended up as a worthwhile final effort makes me that much more excited to check it out this weekend.

(And Batman Begins, as 'Pig said, was the closest thing to a real Batman movie, as in true to the actual comic character, ever made. I'm thinking The Dark Knight should finally give us a non-retarded version of the Joker. Too bad that will only be a one-shot thing.)

The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.

I'll be seeing this on Saturday. Ever since the first trailer premiered I felt like this was the new franchise to take Spider-Man's place. Hopefully it paves the way for an even sweeter Iron Man 2.

This is going to be a great summer for movies. I can't wait for this, Speed Racer, Wall-E, Indiana Jones 4 and The Dark Knight. I think there are some good looking comedies that I'm forgetting also.

I dunno ... I was never a big fan of Ironman ... I will probably see it sooner or later , but not shure if it will be during opening week :?

I wanted to go the premiere here tommorrow but we have zilch cash for tickets right now...
It is top priority in the movies until Indiana Jones though!

Batman Begins is EASILY the best superhero movie EVER. I hope the Dark Knight can surpass it.

Anyway, good to see Paramount isn't screwing up Iron Man like Sony did to Spider-Man.

Oh it will, it seems the good Mr. Ledger left this world having just finished his best piece of acting yet and Bale = win anyways! I really can't wait for this movie, my only regret in seeing it will be Ledger's abrupt and early death!

Well, Sony handled Spider-Man pretty well in the first movie... After that, not so much. The second was meh and the third was pretty terrible.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
