104.1 went under a while ago.  After the storm 106.7 turned into "New Rockin' Country" with all the same people from "The End", so a new 104.1 arose to take 106.7's place as the new rock station.


What's this "New Rockin Country"? The last I was in Louisiana was in March 1998 so I don't know who you're refering to, "The end", 106.7? Are you saying when 104.1 went under (during Katrina?) they moved to 106.7 where it is today...?

5.85 is totally normal for a job like this, guys.

It's no different from working at a McDonalds or chain Grocery Store. What jobs did you think payed minimum wage? I made 7.50 at Toys R Us, by the way.

great I'm sure we have a game that might beat halo 3 first week sale's easily there....

on the off topic about the GTA concept being disturbing... I agree... I would push it further absolutely every single game are.... what do you think about a game where you drive at high speed little karts dressed up in weird characters where you try to take them out of the road... I'm pretty sure if I go to a kart race dressed as peach and I drop a turtle shell on a racer people will think i'm more insane and disturbed than if i go shoot out randomly in the street.... the degree of violence and morality of a game doesn't make it more or less disturbing than a E rated game with crazy concepts.... sorry off topic

On my way to uni I went into the local EB games (My uni is in North Sydney) and both the ps3 and the 360 version were sold out. They had already put up a sign saying you can place pre-orders for the next shipment.

So I guess its selling really well in Australia.

I was at walmart last night around midnight (forgot about the midnight launch) to pick up a few things and they sold all 100 copies they got. The employee I was talking to said it was an even split. The one thing I did find interesting was the fact that they sold all but 1 PS3, no 360, and everyone ignored the fact that they had Wiis in stock. Well not everyone passed up the wii, because I got one since they had them lol. I can't wait to see what the final tally will be for the week.

106.7 the rock station (known as "The End") for about 20 years!  I'm surprised you don't remember it.  After the storm, it was off the air for a while, then came back as a country station.  A bit later 104.1 became the new rock station to take it's place.

Immediately after the storm, places like Burger King and McDonalds were paying $10 an hour here.  Rally's (known as Checkers most places) was paying $12!

Too bad they don't pay that anymore. :(
