I think the Celtics take this one. They were playing not to lose in the 1st 2 rounds. They played much better against Detroit and there will actually be less pressure on them now that they have reached the finals.

I think they matchup with the Lakers better than they would have against San Antonio, Utah, or New Orleans.

If the Lakers win Game 1 by less than 10, I'll be shocked.

Five games, Lakers win. Maybe even four if Allen decides to become a pacifist again and hide in the corner all four games.

Beyond the Big Three, the Celtics don't have shit. The Lakers, on the other hand, are extremely well balanced and you'll see their second squad often outplay their first squad for a quarter.

Does anyone hear think that the playoffs are scripted? I mean i could have easily guessed it would have been these two teams in the finals. both teams have superstars and both teams have a large fan base, mainly bandwagon fans. anyways the lakers better win it.

Yeah, it's scripted. The two teams that finished the regular season with the best records in their conference and enjoyed home court throughout the playoffs are now in the NBA Finals. It's rigged, I tell ya.

My argument is that in the past years the NBA has struggled to keep their viewers interested in the playoffs. So why not have the two teams with the biggest fan bases meet in the finals. Do you really believe that if the finals were set between the "old and boring" Spurs and the Pistons that anybody would even tune in? I am a laker fan but i never predicted their series with the spurs to end so quickly. The series will probably go 7 games just for the "drama that is the NBA playoffs". I'm actually arguing on the same side as Skip Bayless, who does that?

Don Rivers will be out-coached by Phil Jackson

2 days left till the first game right? Can't wait....Kobe vs Paul, great matchup....Still Kobe vs LeBron would be even better...(Yes, I'm a Cavs fan)....Now, for my prediction: I think the Lakers will win....I already said that lol.....Well, as Rocket said, outside of the Big 3 (and maybe Rondo), the Celtics don't have much.....With Kobe's skills, the Lakers should win.....

I hope the Celtics beat the Lakers. Go Boston Celtics.
BTW: I can not stand Kobe Bryant

I fully expect to see Jackson play the Lakers second squad in key moments against the Celtics first squad in an attempt to run those old bastards right off the floor.

Shit, even the Lakers first squad could do a pretty good job of running the Celts' first squad off the floor. I don't think we'll see it much in Game One because of the layover but I think we'll see that strategy used heavily in Game 3 & 4 in LA. If the tempo is fast in the game, the Celtics just won't be able to hang, which means their second squad will get more floor time, which means that the Celtics will lose.

Okay everyone time to pick your team, L.A. or Boston? Pick now becuase i don't wanna hear people say "i knew they were going to win!" also pick who many games you think its gonna take.

My prediction: L.A. wins in 7 games. Kobe Bryant=M.V.P.

We brits dont agree with this simple game. Why throw a ball into a tiny hoop, when you can kick a ball into a huge net!?

I'm a fan of all sports, but americans like to watch sports that have a lot of points scored. Many don't think a 1-0 game can be very exciting.
