The slipstreaming feauture in Mario Kart Wii is actually my only complaint with the game as of now.
Why? Because it is way too easy to accomplish. From what I figured, the rule is: drive remotely behind another kart/ group of karts and off you go.
That has nothing to do anymore with the skills that feature required in MK64 back in the days. There, the technique was pulled off usually only on straight streets like in the desert and you had to really drive behind the other kart for some time to get it accomplished. Now it works everywhere/ anywhere, even in the weirdest curves etc.
I guess that is why unskilled players like Rol actually thought this is a new feature.
