I feel like Origami King does a lot right, it just completely fumbles with the combat system. I understand that Nintendo is not interested in rinse-and-repeating a gameplay loop from the 1990s, they prefer to innovate and be creative (and honestly, I prefer that they search after something new and creative instead of the same ol' combat system that has been used ad nauseum), but they need to find something new. That and they need to get whoever was responsible for the stories of 64 and TTYD back in the kitchen.
