Yeah Emio, Devil's Third, Geist, Eternal Darkness, and Duskbloods are good calls.
I'll throw in Fatal Frame 4, 5, and the 2012 remake of 2, which were very dark games full of adult content.

I just remembered the name of that one weird GCN game that used the mic: Odama. It’s only Nintendo published, but as far as I’m informed on the game, you use the GCN microphone accessory to give commands to a pinball in order to defeat an ensuing army of soldiers seeking to avenge the death of an army general’s father. What a wild concept for a game lol!

And it's probably Yoots most normal game. He also did Seaman on Dreamcast

Yeah I feel I should reiterate, this is specifically games developed or published by Nintendo, not just "games that released on a Nintendo platform".
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. I get Pokemon hasn't been cutting edge graphically for pretty much it's whole life, but the amount of glitches, bugs, and the way the game looks is just...awful. Maybe it's fun, I don't know. I decided not to support it because of how glitchy it looks and the art direction
Xenoblade Chronicles.
You have to go back to the 1990s, crazy anti-RPG fanatic Yamauchi was bashing RPGs and calling RPG fans basement dwelling losers. Meanwhile at Square, Tetsuya Takahashi and other ambitious creators (largely made up of the Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger teams, and a bunch of scrappy newbies) were making THE most RPG of RPGs ever made on a video game system at the time (Xenogears, which actually started as a sequel to FF6, and then Chrono Trigger; Magitek Armour became Gears, Lavos became Deus, Figaro dynasty became the Fatima dynasty). Now… these devs seemed like the exact sort of people Nintendo’s (then) president hated, making games for fans Nintendo’s president had no respect for.
But, stuff happened. First, because the so-called “Father of Final Fantasy” Hironobu Sakaguchi had taken over decision making in Square and basically shut down the ambitions of their most creative team members working on games that he wasn’t known for; he gave Square a policy of Final Fantasy games, spin-offs, and B-titles. Takahashi and others were deeply unhappy with the changes, and there was a massive exodus of their ambitious talent (some remained, Nomura, Tokita, Nojima, and they weathered the Sakaguchi power trip)… but they lost Masato Kato, Soraya Saga, Mitsuda, Uematsu, Tetsuya Takahashi, Yasuyuke Honne, etc…
Anyway, a number of those founded Monolithsoft, a company that contracted or employed full time most of the exodus of Square. They created Xenosaga, one of gaming most famously failed ambitious projects. They also created a little game called Baten Kaitos which was done by Chrono Trigger staff including Chrono Trigger and Cross head writer Masato Kato, and Yasuyuke Honne who worked on Chrono Cross, and with Tetsuya Takahashi on Chrono Triggers graphics.
Meanwhile on Nintendo’s side, a far more enlightened governance had taken over, and the company was about to explode in popularity to heights never seen before from the pit they had fallen into (which lost them several major third party devs, and also when they saw their first red quarter in nearly half a century during the Gamecube generation). Earthbound and Kirby developer Satoru Iwata was now the Nintendo CEO (was Mr Saturn partially inspired by him?), he approached the ex-Square employees now congregating at Tetsuya Takahashi’s Monolithsoft (then a part of Namco) to work on an Earthbound title, things fell through when Shigesto Itoi rejected the idea, ending the franchise. But when Namco began Baten Kaitos, talks resumed with Nintendo… and Iwata was far-far more fond of RPGs than his predecessor. And Shinji Hatano, a prominent producer at Nintendo, also had a lot of interest in RPGs and Squaresoft in particular, saw an opportunity…
Back on the Monolithsoft side, their ambitions were killed after a regime change at Namco; the new Namco regime was far less favourable toward Monolithsoft's ambition. Therefore, large sweeping creative and production changes were made from the top on Xenosaga Episode 2 and 3, including the firing Soraya Saga, co-writer (of Xenogears and Xenosaga) and wife of Tetsuya Takahashi; note, Soraya Saga was also one of the writers and artists for FF6 and Romancing Saga 3, credited as Kaori Tanaka… she famously designed characters in sprite form before they were designed by Amano in art form. Tetsuya Takahashi was also reduced in role, Mitsuda (composer) and character designer/artist Kunihiko Tanaka were also let go from the franchise in favour of more “Western friendly” cosmetics (unfortunately, that translates to ugly in Namco speak).
Hatano saw the opportunity… and he with the heads of Monolithsoft (Sugiura and Takahashi) brought them into Nintendo: Soraya Saga, Mitsuda, and Kunihiko Tanaka all returned to duty and Takahashi was restored to creative director… and thus we got the series Xenoblade Chronicles, and other Monolithsoft projects (which included large scale open world design experiments that contributed to Breath of the Wild). Xenoblade, which, by its name, is the successor franchise of Xenosaga and Xenogears. And the once most maligned game by Nintendo’s leadership now had a spiritual successor being produced by Nintendo as their flagship franchise in science fiction and fantasy role playing games.
How is that for an unlikely story?
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Sim Tower?
A friend finished Odama a couple of weeks ago. The pinball is pinball with a generous tilt mechanic.
The army is given orders with the microphone.
You can also shoot rice out of a cannon to distract troops or build morale. Plenty of wild moments.
