People have used this review against the 360 version, as it lowers the overall mark of the game down compared to the ps3 version. Which is poor logic.

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same way.

I'm sure this game is darn near perfect for a GTA game, and the story is absolutely amazing.

As a gamer, however, I just can't get past that deep dread I have inside to ever have to start another GTA game, after San Andreas, just to have my hopes dashed when I find out it's the most over-rated piece of garbage I've ever played.

Maybe this will turn out different. Turns out my brother is getting it. I'll let you guys know what he thinks, but not what I think, cause my reviewers tilt for GTA is "hate."

If I could buy the game and just hear the story without actually having to play it, or if there was even a super-easy "enjoy the story" mode, I'd probably have a ball. The cheats don't make anything easier, in fact, they bug your game, and I hate escort missions, by god! I HATE EM!

Gratz on this game. It'll be goty for sure, from all publications. Not only is it very high quality, but it has street cred with the haters, something SMG did not. 

Very probably game of the year.

We shall see. Everyone figured it would be Halo 3 last year, but most places gave it to either Bioshock, Orange Box, or CoD4 (and I believe IGN picked Galaxy). I think MGS4 still has a shot. By the end of the year Resistance 2 and Gears 2 will be more fresh in peoples' minds when game of the year votes happen. I don't think Brawl has a chance now. It would definitely appear that GTA IV is the favorite. I'm not the biggest GTA fan, either, but these reviews are swaying me, and since everyone I know will be playing multiplayer it is a tempting purchase now.

A little surprised about the all 10s, but that means it must be quite a good game that will be among goty candidates.

I'm not doubting that over all its a 10 but for all categories to get a 10 thats just fanboyish. Considering there are better graphically games out there im suprised it got a 10 for that. 

but then again a girl did write this and score it, so no surpises there as they are easily impressed.

In general this game has baught fanboys out from both sides (360 and PS3) that it make it just unbarable to watch. People need to snap out of it and see that we are living in a different reality. Just like zelda GTA is nothing more then the same thing improved over and over and over. Yes the game is great but you won't die without having to make all these fanboyish remarks from all side.  

Like serisouly why are PS3 fanboys rejoycing about a 0.7% difference between the 360 version and 360 guys coming up with "oh the DLC wil make up for it lol".

Just be happy you will be alive to enjoy the game on one platforn or another.

 Tetll me where this has been confirmed. I looked on every Xbox forums I could find from teamxbox to the official xbox forums to neoGAF. All state its a rumor.

Yes I did make the mistake for saying optional but the install does solve pop-in, framerate, and loading times. The PS3 version has been confirmed to have slightly stronger AA.

i for one didnt expect this game to get a 10...mainly because its notorius for having alot of flaws. but getting a ten from most sites must be saying something about this game..
