Farofa is a special dish that almost everyone here loves, but an outsider would look at this and think that we eat sand... literally.

Because the prepair is basically flour from a native plant's roots called Mandioca, thats is fried on butter and then... nothing. It is ready to eat. It ends up looking exactly like sand. Some people fry with eggs or small cubes of bacon

Wow, so many fellow Brazilians in this thread – that's insane! Haha.

Honestly, I can't think of anything that hasn't already been said. Yeah, we shower a lot, mandioca is weird but great, and we do care a lot about our personal hygiene. Actually, if you come to any Brazilian home, no matter the size or the state of the house, you will find it extremely clean. Cleanliness is just in our blood, I guess.

Edit: oh, yeah, we have eletric showers as well, those i heard are pretty unique

One of our most revered national heroes is a bank robber whose claim to fame is fighting the cops wearing a homemade suit of armour

That's actually pretty sick, not gonna lie.

Tall fellow I see. Some Ausie devs should make a game out of that.

I freaking love farofa, specially when it is fried on butter with onion and sliced carrot

Not sure if this is a thing elsewhere some places, but visitors have told me that apparently it's not normal to have free public BBQs in parks

I'm guessing bear proof garbage bins are not a regular occurrence outside Canada

We have public grills as well in parks, bring your own fuel though. Nothing fancy.

We have some unique road signs as well lol

Our US public BBQs look almost identical to the ones in Canada. I'm not sure if they are all over the country but I know they are around the midwest.

Sorry but this is the first thing that came to my mind after seeing the pic:

Anyway, there are placs to make BBQs here, but there's no unified design and, at least the ones I've gone to, are more "old school", so to speak. They're usually made with stones or bricks, and are designed mostly to work with wood.
