Got it! Taking it for a spin now!

Okay, played through the Kokiri Forest section to the start of the first dungeon.
First impressions are strong; it looks great in person, feels smooth and natural to control, and the spirit of the original game feels very much intact. The voice acting felt strange at first, and its not on par with what you'd see in a top notch narrative driven game, but it gets the job done.
Having a really good time with it so far; its especially remarkable how well the core design holds up after nearly 30 years. While there have been tweaks to level design and the like the bones of the experience are there and have aged like a fine wine.

The game already had the warp songs plus the song to bring you Epona. Seems like plenty to me and the world isn't big enough to need more. Seems like an easy decision to me.

Reached Hyrule Castle.
So far, absolutely a top-tier remake that recaptures the magic of the original while still feeling suitably modern. You can feel the lover and care put into it, from the little flourishes that make everything just pop to the glorious orchestrations of classic themes.
Gonna be hard to stop myself binging through this one.
There was also a decent gathering of a dozen or so people at the store when I went in the morning to pick it up; haven't seen that happen for a new release in a while.
Anyone else here pick it up yet?

Still waiting for my store to inform me that it's arrived...not that I will be able to play it for some time (maybe hour or two over the weekend), and my son has decided to wait for that Hori Electric Ocarina to arrive as well to play it that way...

People queued around multiple city blocks for the midnight release of the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake at a Nintendo pop-up in London https://t.co/nQAlpp7iaA

Esto es una cola nocturna para recoger The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time… Si, la ocarina cambió el tiempo y esto parece una imagen de otra época. Si, a nadie le gusta hacer cola pasando frío… Pero la felicidad que tiene esta gente nadie se la quita. https://t.co/16Bzbr030z

Ugh, can't tell if it's Twitter's fault or VGChartz but trying to get tweets to display properly is a nightmare, sorry for the messy post
Amazon just moved my OoT delivery date up 3 days to tomorrow! Guess I'll have to go out and buy a Switch2 tomorrow.
I'm 6 hours into the game, and it's definitely the most beautiful game on the Switch 2,the small additions to mobility made everything more fluid. I just think they should have added more movesets to the combat and increased the aggressiveness of some enemies because the game is extremely easy, and to make matters worse, there's no Master Quest mode after finishing the game. I don't understand how so many journalists gave it a 10 considering the negative points I mentioned. Maybe playing so many Metroidvanias and Soulslikes in recent years has ruined simpler experiences for me.

Not all games need to be hard, Zelda's more about exploration and problem solving than punishing combat. The 1998 original wasn't a particularly difficult game in the first place.
